The data stored on the drive is fully accessible with either
interface, and does not require special partitions.

350DX
is currently the only Combo Enclosure that will support large
capacity hard drives in both FireWire and USB interfaces.
The FireWire repeater will continue to function (as long as the
FireWire cable is connected) when the drive has been turned off or while
operating is USB mode. When
both interface are connected, the drive will default to USB mode; unlike
other combo enclosures where similar operation will damage the drive.
The kit includes a premium IEEE 1394 cable, USB 2.0 cable, driver
software, AC power cable.
